About Us

Standard Council and Committee for Accreditation Board (SCCAB)

SCCAB is a nonprofit, public-benefit accreditation body dedicated to supporting trust and confidence in conformity assessment activities. SCCAB provides accreditation services to a broad range of organizations, including governmental entities, commercial businesses, laboratories, and professional associations.

SCCAB’s accreditation programmes are based on recognised national and international standards to ensure that our accreditations are accepted both domestically and globally. Through rigorous assessment and continuous oversight, SCCAB helps organisations demonstrate their competence, impartiality, and performance capability.

SCCAB adheres to accreditation criteria and undergoes periodic independent evaluation to confirm continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17011, Conformity assessment — Requirements for accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies. This ensures that SCCAB operates with the highest levels of impartiality, integrity, and technical competence.

Trust and Confidence.

SCCAB’s accreditation portfolio includes management system certification bodies (ISO/IEC 17021-1), calibration and testing laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025) and forensic laboratories, product certification bodies (ISO/IEC 17065), inspection and forensic bodies (ISO/IEC 17020), ISO greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies (ISO 14065), reference material producers (ISO 17034), proficiency testing providers (ISO/IEC 17043), personnel certification bodies (ISO/IEC 17024), and other sector-specific conformity assessment programmes.

SCCAB also provides training and capacity building on accreditation standards and conformity assessment practices. By working closely with industry, regulators, and consumers, SCCAB helps to shape robust and credible assessment frameworks that facilitate trade, protect public interest, and support sustainable growth.

SCCAB assists industry and facilitates commerce by providing accreditation, technical guidance, and by acting as an architect for sector-specific conformity assessment structures that are efficient, transparent, and internationally recognised.
